Puri or Poori is a very popular and
loved dish of Indians especially North Indian. These poories are prepared with
whole wheat flour and goes well with Saag (potato dish). It can also be served
with Suji halwa or mango shirkhand (Mango pulp). Well without any further
delays, here goes the Puri recipe.

What are the ingredients required to make Crispy Poori (Puri)?
·
Wheat Flour 350gms
·
Water ½
cup
·
Ghee 1
tbsp
·
Oil for deep fry
·
Salt to taste
·
Baking soda 1 pinch
How to prepare Crispy Poori (Puri)?
·
Sift the flour, baking soda and salt
together
·
Add ghee and mix them well
·
Make a dump in the mixed flour and add
water
·
Knead them into soft dough
·
Make 20 -25 equal sized dough balls
·
Place these balls on slightly floured
surface
·
Cover them with a soft cotton cloth and keep it for some time (around 10
minutes)
·
Pour oil in a pan for deep fry and
heat it
·
Take rolling pin and start rolling the
dough ball to make small round puries
·
When oil is hot enough for fry, add
these rolled puries and deep fry them until they puff up
·
Remove them from pan and place on
tissue / drain towels to drain excess oil
·
Serve hot with Aloo Saag
