Ingredients Required to make Masala Prawn Curry?
Ingredients to
marinate:

Raw Prawns 500
gm, large
·
Garlic 1
tbsp, paste
·
Ginger 1
tbsp, paste
·
Green coriander ½
cup, chopped
·
Green Chilies 2
·
Lemon 1
tbsp
·
Oil 1
tbsp
Ingredients for Gravy:
·
Large Onion 2,
finely sliced
·
Oil 4
tbsp
·
Garlic 2
tbsp, paste
·
Ginger 1
tbsp, paste
·
Tomato 2,
chopped
·
Coriander Powder 2
tsp
·
Cumin Powder 1
tsp
·
Red Chili Powder ½
tsp
·
Turmeric Powder 1
tsp
·
Garam Masala Powder 2 tsp
·
Salt to Taste
·
Chopped Coriander Leaves to Garnish
Method to prepare Masala Prawn Curry?
·
Grind garlic, ginger, green coriander and green
chilies in a blender to form a smooth paste
·
Take a large non – metallic bowl, pour prawns in
it, add masala paste, lemon juice and oil and mix the, well such that all
prawns are well coated with the paste
·
Refrigerate the prawns to marinate. Till that
time we will prepare gravy
·
Take heavy bottomed pan, pour oil and cook o
medium flame
·
When oil is hot enough, add onions to it and
sauté till they turns to pale golden brown in color
·
Now add ginger garlic paste and cook for more 1
minute
·
Add tomato paste, coriander powder, cumin
powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and salt. Mix
well
·
Cook the mixture until oil starts to separate
from it. This may take more 10 minutes
·
Once masala is cooked, turn off the stove. Let
the gravy cools down
·
Pour this gravy into blender; grind into a
smooth paste without adding water. Remove it into a separate container.
·
Take out the prawns from refrigerator
·
Put a pan over the stove, when it is very hot
add prawns to it.
·
Cook till prawns begins to turn dense
·
Now add gravy paste and ¼ cup of boiling water
and stir well
·
Cook for 1 – 2 minutes & turn off the stove
·
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve
with hot chapattis or plain rice or zeera rice and salad.
