How to prepare Bengali Chicken Rezala

Chicken Rezala curry is very popular chciken dish in Bengal which is highly influenced by Mughlai Cusine. A dinner party piece of chicken in yoghurt, and cashew nut paste, finished with white gravy. Lets check out the recipe for how to prepare Chicken rezala.

Ingredients required to cook Chicken Rezala

Chicken 1 kg
Onion 2 -3 paste
Onion 1, sliced
Ghee 1tbsp
Oil 1 tbsp
Garam Masala 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Black pepper 1 tsp whole
Cashew handful, paste
Ginger - Garlic paste 1 tbsp
Curd 1 cup
Salt to taste
Poppy seeds
Saffron 5 strands, dissolved in milk
Green chili 1 - 2 tsp

Method to prepare Tasty Chicken Rezala

Clean and wash chicken well
Marinate chicken with curd and ginger - Garlic paste. Let it marinade for 1 hr
Heat ghee in a pan, add onion paste to it
Add Garam masala, black pepper, coriander powder, green chili and salt to it. Let it fry
Once onion paste turns to pink, add cashew paste, Ginger -Garlic paste and poppy seeds and saute
Now add curd slowly to this mixture while mixing contnuously
Next add chicken pieces and let it cook
Once ghee started separating / is visble, add dissolved saffron and saute till chicken is fully done
Now time to give tadka!!!!
Take a pan, heat oil, add sliced onion to it and fry
add few whole red chili
Once done add this tadka to chicken.
That's all. Your tasty and spicy Chicken Rezala is ready to serve and eat!!!

Note: Use only whole spices in Garam masala, Don't use powder
